Jewelry Prototype and Production Quotes

Depending on the exact project, we may be able to discuss indicative pricing of labor, as well as give some very approximative weights for metals before a design has been issued, however we will not issue a formal prototype quote until we have settled on an exact schematic. Please see our design requirements for more information.

Prototype Quotation Explanation:

This sample quotation is for a silver prototype of a model which is intended to be made in 18K Gold for production. To save the customer money on the silver prototype the diamonds will be replaced with CZ.

During the prototyping stage all values are rough estimates for the prototype and will be reevaluated after the prototype is completed for production orders. Usually, there is very little fluctuation in the unit prices of materials, except as follows changes in the markets.

To help the customer with a rough estimate of what to expect for the final production cost of the piece, an estimated weight of the piece in 18K Gold is provided at the top in the notes section (7.5 Grams) along with the current unit price of 18K gold ($30.32/gram).

After a prototype quote is issued, if the customer wished to proceed with prototype development, we would convert the quote into an invoice and collect payment. Once money has been received, we would construct the prototype piece. Once the prototype has been completed, a production quote is issued for the model based around values calculated from the silver prototype.

You’ll notice at the top of the invoice a note that this production quote is for quantities of orders over $3,000 Dollars (8+ Pendants). Smaller quantity orders may be subject to a Low Quantity Surcharge.
